A sneak preview
Determinance’s recent surprise appearance at a LAN party provoked a variety of positive responses, none of which are particularly evident from the following grim images:
Everyone’s having fun on the inside.
Yay, games are cool.
Yay.
In all seriousness, the event was pretty darn exciting for us. Getting to see people playing and enjoying Determinance was a great taste of things to come after release.
For all those clamouring for media here is a little sneaky video (in MOV format – about 1.5mb) taken at the event which has come into our possession, so you can see the game in action properly for the first time in its semi-completed state.

We should have taken pictures after everyone had had all the beer. These people look grim, but in fact it’s all expressions of epic concentration on a new gaming medium.

Oh yeah, and another reason this was good is that we had a 6 player game going for half an hour and it didn’t crash once and it performed better than expected frame rate wise. Soak testing is teh winzor.

Alright guys, Loving the images….I think we should arrange another lan sometime try give that another stress test. By the way did you try implementing a “tag” mod, I still think its an awesome mod everyone will love….Simply hit the player with the sword and they are it!! Love it
