The Mode 7 Pub Challenge: Grand Opening

I have mentioned before in my tide of almost interminable drivel on here that there are certain people with whom we would be delighted to share a nook (I’m sorry) in some suspicious watering hole.
Here is a fuller list (in no kind of discernible order):
Introversion
Kieron Gillen
William Shatner
Don Hertzfeldt
Stephen Seagal
Cory Doctorow…although I was once rude about him here when he was being an idiot about something.
Kim Coates
Jan Hammer – that’s just me. And he’d only be allowed to come if he brought his keytar.
To prove that we’re not all jibber-jabber, and that we are partly comprised of “trousers”, I believe that we should attempt to collect them, one at a time.
Now, this might be a little bit complicated in some cases. Hertzfeldt lives in Santa Barbara and seems to barely go outside (if his blog is to be believed); Shatner, Seagal and Coates are probably in Canada filming an obscure low-budget action movie right as we speak (perhaps only in my mind). Tiresias is both several thousand years old and a fictional character.
However, Mr Gillen has gone on record with the following:
I go to the pub with literally anyone. Often whether they want me to or not.
I would say that this constitutes an outlook which I’m going to deem, “Promising”.
I have just emailed Chris at Introversion (via some torturous forum-based web-form contraption, obviously put in place to protect the innocent) to make him aware that we exist. Brave little Darwinians are carrying the message to him right now through a gigantic vector-based landscape, making that kind of “erp erp” noise before they get eaten by a worm or something.
Anyway after that, the pub will hopefully ensue.
Now, to find Shatner’s email address… be sure to tune in for more exciting updates.

I don’t know who this Hertzfeldt character is, but I’m in SB in October so maybe I could bring him our regards… or something.

He’s this guy – he once made an animated movie during which one character eviscerates another, wears his bloody flesh as a hat and then sings, “I am the Queen of Spain” over a kind of odd samba song.

Okay I’m definitely not meeting him on my own.

He likes cats though.
