friday

Jimmeh has just, as I started typing this, fixed the OSX full-screen crash bug.  That fix will be in the update coming next week.  He’s working on the Mac updater now.

I’m still chasing the mid-turn outcome change bug.  By the end of today I hope to have a bulletproof fix for it.

..and there was much rejoicing! 8-)

It’s good to hear that the paradox-creating bug is in the process of being fixed. It is a very outrageous bug.

As for mac: can you make it so that CMD+tab still works in fullscreen? Or add a keyboard shortcut to switch between windowed and fullscreen in one go instead of having to go to the settings menu every time (having to leave the planning phase—and losing all the work if I haven’t primed yet!!!)

I also think that you should add Growl notifications support. Growl is popular among Mac users. Even Blizzard uses Growl notifications for their game downloaders and the SC2 patch downloader. Frozen Synapse and Growl are a perfect match because I wouldn’t have to manually check whether I have any turns waiting or chat messages.

    I would really appreciate it!

Hawk, cmd+return works for switching between full screen and windowed modes on OS X.
I’ll look in to Growl integration at some point. It would be a nice feature.

    Thanks James!

Growl, from what I’ve heard and read about it, is pretty easy to implement. I imagine especially when compared to the other stuff that makes up Frozen Synapse.

I didn’t realize about CMD+return. I do remember now that that shortcut is used by some other apps too.

However, when I tried it I expected it to switch between two resolutions (like 960×600 and 1920×1200) automatically, instead of stretching the low resolution of the window across the screen when in Fullscreen, or creating a window that takes up the entire screen when in Windowed mode, depending on what resolution I have it set to. For an example of how I think it should behave look at Starcraft 2.

That said, the way it is currently is acceptable and not annoying, so I should be happy! (And I am) Thanks for letting me know!
