  1. Herr_Alien:

DLC will help with piracy as long as the files get downloaded/installed via the game itself, from servers owned by the game company.
If there is a way for the DLC files to be installed offline, then they WILL be pirated.

Not sure about nagging … my brother plays World of Tanks, and he never mentioned being nagged into paying. And mind you, some of the micro transactions in that game do not sell cosmetic items, but rather experience points to help you tech up faster.

Ads turned into games – dunno … in theory it’s a good idea, I mean it will give you the opportunity to cut short through the ads. But, still, the whole point of an ad is to focus your interest on the product they try to sell. So I can see the implementation of the idea turning into bad (and I mean BAD) games.

No LAN from Blizzard. Diablo III is basically a single player game running on top of an MMO stack, just for the sake of DRM. Since the company went in that direction, I don’t see LAN being re-introduced any time soon.
